Treatment Guidelines

• Age < 75, treat if T-score < -2.5

• Age > 75, treat if T-score < -2.0

• If T-scores don't dictate treatment, still treat if:

• • Low impact or vertebral fx by history, exam
  • Other significant risks
  • • Steroid use
    • Smoker
    • Conditions creating a fall risk
